OK, these are not real cinnabar. Real cinnabar is poisonous and weighs fifty pounds. It's a mercury ore. Makes you crazy. Mercury was used in the middle ages to make hats. Thus The Mad Hatter. Real cinnabar would make you forget why you got into beading in the first place and that would be sad.
Our "cinnabar" is lacquered wood and comes in rust, cream, black and green, the rust being the lookalike.
There are about 25 beads per strand of 15mm "cinnabar".
