These beads are on 15 - 16 inch strands, temporarily strung, usually on monofilament (fishline).
There are about 16 beads per strand.
The holes are relatively small, about 1mm. You won't be putting leather through them.
Donuts are passe. Once they were not. Luckily I stocked up back then, in the early part of the decade.
