These beads, usually from India, are on 15 - 16 inch strands, temporarily strung, usually on string.
The holes are relatively small, about 1mm.
Garnets are usually dyed, and,
being garnets, they may be raggedly cut and drilled.
It's like the kids were watching TV when they were supposed to be concentrating on their drilling and cutting.
