Not "drab" really, just deeper, darker. These have a lovely luster, fairly regular shape, and some rough surfaces. They measure 11 to 12mm across. Our coin pearls generally are "rough." Somewhere between a wedding and biker wear. Actually, right in the middle. 15 - 16 inch strands, temporarily strung. Small holes!!!
