These beads are usually on 34-inch strands, temporarily strung, and usually on monofilament (plastic fishline), but sometimes they will be on string.The holes are relatively small, probably less than 1mm. You won't be putting leather through them.

As with all the natural stones, color and "look" may differ from strand to strand and even from bead to bead.
Shockingly, some of the stones are dyed.
